The Felco 904 is a small tungsten carbide (vídia in Hungarian) blade mounted on a forged aluminum handle (140 x 20 x 9 mm) with a secure grip and finger guard, which is excellent for daily maintenance of the cutting edge of pruning shears. With the particularly hard material, we pull from the shaft towards the tip of the blade on the slanted side, with very little pressure, almost only with the tool's own weight; at an angle of inclination of 23 degrees. This is rarely measured with a protractor, rather it is an estimate of half of the right angle. Only the burr created during sharpening on the outer, flat side of the cutting blade may be pulled down and removed with as few movements as possible at an angle of 5 degrees. At the end of the handle, there is a bottle opener hook for quenching thirst for greater appreciation, and there is a loop for hanging on the belt to prevent loss.
In addition to sharpening the blades once a day, it is necessary to use the Felco 903 diamond-coated whetstone after continuous cutting for the whole week, and the Felco902 whetstone in case of edge damage. Sharp scissors and knives are easier to work with, and plant wounds heal faster.
